Produced a series of politicians, merchants, military men, academics, and cultural figures.
The Peyer family was one of the richest families in Schaffhausen. Joachim’s father, Hans Ludwig, was worth about 100,000 Gl, which would be equivalent to approximately 50-123 million francs in 2025.
Joachim and Susanna had 3 children together, though their line did not continue past them. The Peyer line can be traced to the 21st century through Joachim’s great-grand uncle Alexander’s great (x11) grandson, Hans Konrad Joachim Peyer (b. 1961).
